We use 6 colour LED technology which gives class leading LED performance and colours. A separate microprocessor is dedicated to controlling the LED and firework control on our drone platforms.

Refining white balance with DroneSwarm LED technology.

LED temperature is measured onboard and relayed down to the ground management software.

We are constantly refining the way colour is defined by the LED chips and have ultimate control of the mixing of Red, Green, Blue, Pure white, Yellow and Violet light.

4 different colour mixing algorithms being tested

Here you can see some tests (in the rain) showing the different ways white can be displayed. It is very much like taking photographs where it is important to ensure the white balance is set correctly for the environment.

“In photography white balance is used to adjust colours to match the colour of the light source so that white objects appear to be white. Subjects may be lit by a number of different light sources, including sunlight, incandescent bulbs, and fluorescent lighting.”

In our drone systems we modify how the different sources of light combine to produce the brightest and purest white. This in turn means all the colours are as vivid as possible.
